I'm thinking this is a 3650 or a 3550. It has a Lakewood scatter shield
I have no idea nor have I ever heard of that trans LOLIs that an older Richmond??
is it easy to find the tag on the trans while in the car to verify the part number on it? I need to find out what it is because i already ordered and recieved a ford performance m 6392 r58 bell on ebay because I was thinking it was a 3650 or 3550. I can send it back if it won't work. I might also think about reusing the lakewood scattershield but I need to find a cover plate that covers the fork.Is that an older Richmond??
where specifically on the trans would it be, as in while in the car? One guy on the corral said it might be an older richmond I did look at a photo and it could be. I'm just curious if the M 6392 R58 bell I bought would work for it even if a richmond so I need to verify that number on it. It has a lakewood scattershield on now.....part number on the bellhousing would also be a pretty good clue.
As far as pattern recognition goes, Ive had plenty of T5s, 3550s, old school TKO, and my T56s and the ribs on that case do not seem familiar to me.
cool beans man appreciate the help. I'm going to see if I can get to the tag this weekend to verify. That's a TKO/3550.
See this pic and you can see various features from this angle line up with yours

Mustang5L5 confirmed that it's a 3550 but I will see if I can get to the tag this weekend to verify........3650 has an integrated bell housing so that is not a 3650.

One other question for you. So does " All " tremec trans/bell need to be indexed? Is there a bell to buy or a way to not have to index them?
Gotcha. I've never heard of indexing until someone from the corral said he had to with his as his was, well here's his quote:I index any trans I install. I've done it to T5's, but fortunately everything measured up nice so I didn't have to make any adjustments.

gotcha,It's essentially making sure the input shaft of the trans is directly inline with the centerline of rotation of the crank. If it's not lined up, it will put a side load on the input shaft

will my engine builder need a bell similiar to mine or close to it to be able to do the indexing for me before he ships?
