The video you shared earlier I was looking at the comments and a lot of people were saying that's one of the easiest videos that they have ever seen. This video I watched earlier to me this one seems a lot easier than that one overall.Once you index a bell housing to a block and install the offset dowels you can pull it and reinstall it all you want. Makes no sense that you would have to reinfect it every time you removed it being you index with the flywheel only so you have to remove it to install the clutch setup.
Are you saying there a different type of dowels to be used for indexing?I like those offset dowels and that is a pretty decent video but I have done this a couple of times so it makes sense to me.
That's a little confusing lol.Yes. They are offset in different increments. You have to index the bell housing then order the dowels that get it within the range as specified by the trans manufacturer.
Silversport has two which are 0.007” and 0.014”. They have an Allen head wrench end so that after they are installed into the block you can rotate them to move the bell housing as needed. You want the 0.499” OD dowel pins.

So you're saying it's either going to be a .007, .014, or a 0.499? I understood that those are the ones that they make them in but when you said I would want the 0.499
