Im thinking about dumping my borlas for 2 reasons....

After the mufflers is 2.25inch (2.5 inch going into the mufflers) Its weird, just the way borlas are, I think they do it for torque.

And I hate the way the tips look.

Anyone ever regret doing it? Like exhaust pouring in the car or it rattling the floor or something?

You'll get a good dose of fumes at stops if you sit too long, and it might drone more, but you've gotta give a little to get a little. I only wish i could get the same sound with tailpipes because i love the look.

I had dumps on my previous '88 GT and hated them. They sounded alright, but the true sound of the mufflers really came out and sounded MUCH better once I had tail pipes installed. I guess it depends on mufflers. If it's a very aggressive muffler, dumps sound better sometimes.

I loved when I dumped my flowmasters for about a month, the sound with an o/r x-pipe was awesome. But then my car started to reek of exhaust fumes. On long trips with the rpms at 2500 I almost went deaf. At WOT the dumped flowmasters sounded killer, but driving around town with the tailpipes on the flowmasters sounds a lot cleaner.

i didn't regret it car sounds mean and alot of the older crowd like the sound of my car......

my friend drove my car and couldn't stand it but as for me i'm ok i gues the 15" sub takes most of that sound away all i see is the rear glass shake

if i had a notch i wouldnt dump it! i only dumped it on my GT beacuse i didnt like the little tips pointing down out from the bumper! it bothers me like crazy! maybe in the future a cobra bumper with tips! but i like my car dumped!

i love mine. gets me closer to that V8 sound :nice:

dumps on the v6 stang i vote yes.

dumps on a v8. sometime but they can get loud.

only reason i got them dumped was because if i didint i would of had to drive the car back home move the fuel line then drive it back and have it put on so i just got them dumped and called it a day. and i think it sounds great goin 55 at 2,000 rpm :nice:
