yea my brother has no place to keep his yz250f and the raptor down in virginia so he keeps it at my parents house in jersey, whenever he goes riding I get to ride the raptor! woooo next year I hope to buy it when i get out of school..............as well as a marauder
i know but im 17 making 7 bucks an hour and i payed for this and my car. and another 500 bucks for the 1998 just wasnt an option at the time. im gonna be upgrading this year to a cr or rm250. or maybe just get an aluminum frame upgrade!! that would be tight.
well 7.50 to be exact. i worked about 30-36 hours a week over the summer to pay for my car. that is after i sold my t-bird for 2200 and i bought it for 1200. got my bike fer 1250. which i thought was a smokin deal.
when i was 12 i got a new honda xr100 for b-day/xmas. best present ever! it was a great learning tool, and then sold it after a year or two. i got a yamaha RT 180, had like 5 hours on it when i bought it. it was a 2 stroke, 6 speed trail bike. perfect for only being like 5'2'' and 140 pounds at the time. that thing had some guts for a 180. My dad had a brand new Kawasaki KLX 650 all dirt bike. Now that was the ballsiest thing around. i remember riding behind him and that fugger throwing rocks the size of bowling balls 10 feet into the, one hit me once and i thought i was dead. i cant wait to buy another, i had to sell the yamaha to help pay for prep school when i was 17. i cant wait to buy a dual sport, since my dad JUST got a new triump 990 (i think) tiger. cruising with the old man is blast.
oh, and there is nothing more fun that riding with some friends and finding a nice semi-dry swamp...then watching ur father (6'2'' 320 pounds) romp through and hit an old submerged railroad tie (some azzhole obviously tossed in) and watching a guy that big go clear over the handle bars and splat into the mud. I was 13 and never seen him swear before/or again like he did at that moment.
