I was just curious how our cars fair against them. I have a GT/CS with borla mufflers. There is a lot of kids driving them out here in Orlando and while it is a great car I can't say so much for the younger drivers. They try to run me all the time. Its pretty annoying because they do it in traffic, they will rev or just nail the gas next to me up to the next car in front of them. Then go dashing in and out of traffic. I don't intend on wrecking my nice car or hurting someone else so I mind my own business. I know they have some power but I thought our cars could take them. I am dissapointed with my gears though being geared so high stock. I think they were something like 3.21 stock. I thought maybe having a gear ratio like that might hamper the GT against the g35. Anyway let me know if you got any stories, thanks.

My ex girlfriend had a 2007 G35 coupe automatic while we were still together (well she still does have it). After driving both, I would smoke it in a race in my 08 stick w/ the 3.55s. She was trying to play around with me a bit and I had absolutely no problem staying with her. My car definitely pulled at lot harder at higher speeds too.

No experience against a G35 stick or the new G37s.

Yep. Beat the guy by about 3 or 4 car lengths before I let off.

Thats what I thought. Unfortunately I didn't have the 3.55 option on my car so I definately need some different gears because with the stock gears it will still pull but it just seems more sluggish. I have a C&L intake and SCT tuner but I took them off to bring it into the dealership for maintenance so I just have to throw it back on there then I know I won't have a problem lol.

I thought stock gears were 3.31 in them?

You should be able to beat any g35 auto or stick

yeah dont waste your time. its not even a race with a stock 2005+ and if you have a cai and tune......that would be a bad day for the g35.

I wouldn't worry. Stock G35's aren't that fast.

I ran a 14.7 in my AWD G35 sedan. Mine is heavy with NAV and all the options, but 6-spd's have gone as quick as 14.0 stock and 13's with mods.

G37's are a different story. With a good driver they can run mid to low 13's.

Yeah, but if you're running 440HP, no freakin' way you're even close to stock, so that doesn't really count.

Ha no. Inside Stangnet joke from 4-5 years ago. It was a joke that spread around the internet like wildfire. Only downside was my REAL phone number was attached to the ad.
