I'm ordering a Precision Turbo this week. So, I'm just wondering if I'm making the right decision before a lay down the 5G. If anyone has some experience with one (the good, the bad, the do's and don'ts) I'd be greatful. Also, what engine management is the most reasonable without sacrificing quality. Thanks

Ahh I've heard some good things about his kits. I think he mounts the turbo under the frame rail or something along those lines. Should work pretty well for you and Precision is close by they are in Indiana. Precision is probaby the best turbo maker on the market IMO.

Well...I'm biased but I would recommend a PMS over the TwEECer. I like the boost tables in the PMS and its simplicity. Plus you have Danny and Brian @ AFM near you to help with the dyno tune, or Mike Post @ Dynotune, or Bob Kurgan @ Kurgan Motorsports...all of which are reputable PMS tuners.

Does Turbo Time have a website yet?

LOL that's a lot of extra stuff to worry about. Your shortblock will be fine up to about 500rwhp...after that the pistons will be crying, I wouldn't worry about the block. Your stock T5...well that just depends on your driving style. The rearend should be ok barring no 10lbs of boost off a 2step on a slick launch.

I've seen the valley girdle from horsepowersales.net and I'm sure it will add some extra support as will a bottom girdle. There are two groups of people who split stock blocks...1. Idiots with bad tunes detonating and hurting parts 2. people who throw 750rwtq at it..lol.

I"m going turbo, it's just taking FOREVER.
BUT, you're buying a kit, i'm going the DIY route, which takes a lot longer. Plus, i'm putting tegether a destroyed front end. I hope to have it running by christmas, out of the exhaust shop (for the downpipe and nascar type side exhaust) by January, and out of the body shop (line up fenders and do the paint) by February.
I have a feeling just from talking to guys that run turbo instead of blowers that you'll DEFINITILY like it.
