Interesting, i suggest things all the time that i don't have, nor may ever. There's more to it, than brand loyalty.
There is buying quality and buying it once, or there is buying junk and doing it twice.
FREE, doesn't mean it's good or worth the time, you could sell that POS powerdyne, and use the money towards a real supercharger, but that wouldn't be free, so you go ahead and enjoy yourself. When the belt lets go on you, make sure to come back and let us know, that now you have an underpowered charger, that you are wasting money on.

If my opinion is Biast it's because i've had many parts, and i know what works and what doesn't.

People here on stangnet do alot of stupid things, if i feel like pointing them out, i so will.

And if you had a clue you'd realize, that you can get a vortech that is quiet or loud. Your choice.

BTW, brand loyalty isn't always bad, it's only bad when you are suggesting a part because you have it, not because it works or is high quality.
I now economize with the best, i learned the hard way.

Look back at a few of my recent posts, see things i have suggested, like for heads, afr's 165, edelbrocks, TW's, i only have one of them. Don't feel afr's are worth more money, but they work.
Suggest Bassani headers, which i don't even have, but i wish i did.
Victor heads to someone, obviously i don't have those.
Eiback pro springs and tokico shocks to another person, yet more parts i don't have (anymore).
Suggest to grnlx, using an eaton posi when i have an auburn.
I guess your right about the brand loyalty.
So do more reading if you are going to accuse me of something.
Honestly the only things you'll see me speaking negatively about are, iron heads (especially e7's), mac and C&L products.

You want to turn this into an argument, i welcome that, but since you've so thoroughly read my posts you already knew that.

I think the RPMII will work great for you with the blower......

I think your buddy better recheck. Port alignment is not even close. The RPM2 is "much" larger in size. If you want to use that intake, be prepared to modify the heads...

Oh and if someone says to "gasket match them"... I think I'll just have them shot!

Blower combo? Go to the 185 heads and a Holley... It's fit is closer than the RPM2. Not saying I don't like the RPM2, I actually like it better than the Holley but it requires more than a "bolting on" to work with the oval port AFR heads...

Then again... WTF do I know...

The head's port match the intake runners in shape, to at T. They are NOT oval, at least not at the opening. Are you sure we are taking about the same thing? Even if I had them "port matched" When the gasket is compressed it will take up a portion of that 100th anyway.

Maybe you can buy me out of all of my parts (they are all brand new, how about retail + 15%) and then I can get all the stuff you suggest.

I am porting a Perf RPM2 as we speak and its port opening is nearly .090 taller and .060 wider than the AFR 165 intake port. The corner radii are .15 on the intake and .21 on the heads. Not a good match at all. You've definitely got me confused as to why yours line up!

As for the "oval" shape, look at all the other Ford heads and then your AFR's. They are definitely not rectangular as much as they are oval...

Yes, the Performer or original RPM need to have the lower runners ported to flow up to the potential of those heads. Your runners being just smaller than the head runners is a good arrangement.

"C&L's are a joke, why do you think 90% of cars 11's and quicker never use them, because as you add power they get more innaccurate, this comes from the mouth of a person that has run many cars on a dyno. C&L's work correct in like 1 of 5 cars, and for every person that has their car run right they think everyone gets the same results.

Only thing C&L does right is make the right contributions to the magazines.

I guess my car is the 1 in 5 that works correctly and the 10% that runs in the 11s with a C&L meter. 11.75 @ 116 with AFR 165s, Typhoon, Trick Flow Stage 2 cam, and all the normal bolt ons. I have used the meter on all of my combos so far and its worked well each time. Even the stock heads cam and intake setup that was well into the 12s.

Wait, E7 heads cant go 12s, you have to have After market heads to do that, Oh and a Pro M meter to go 11s.

2000xp8 seems to make lots of recomedations for someone that has no track #s on his own car.

Yup i do, i've spent enough time with guys that run daily at E town, and at a shop that has built hundreds of 5.0 liter mustangs, take the advice or leave it. Your choice.
You'll also find that i'm not the only one that dislikes C&L. You can note that in many other posts that dyno operators tell people to ditch the meters, i'm guessing pro m paid them off.
I never said NONE work well.
Your car seems to run some real nice numbers.

Nobody said E7's don't go 12's, i've seen them go 110mph, doesn't mean they were worth the time or money. Maybe 15 years ago when there was no aftermarket heads but not now.

Listen, i don't need to sell anything. Dyno tuners don't like c&l meters, i said this a page ago. I've also said that the person that really dislikes them is a dyno tuner, and that BD is NOT. Many shops will NOT install C&L meters, it's more of an internet part. I know if you also go to loraccos they also tell you to lose the C&L.

It has nothing to do with Bias. It has to do with what i know works, if you know otherwise you do so.
Even so, Would you really considering following one thing he said to be bias?
So what i say he likes FMS 347's, but i don't say others are bad, just give one example of whats good.
What else since you know me so well?

And is there such thing as listening to a guy too much that has pretty much all the pushrod knowledge there is? I listen to him because i get to see his handy work in person. If you counted the active 5.0 members here, he's worked on that many cars. In fact that's all he's worked on for the last 17 or so years.
BTW, he uses many different combos on many different cars, there's plenty of parts he'll use, but some he will not.

So how does an AFR intake runner opening compare to one on a TW? From reading this I think I might have to have my lower ported even more to match my TW's... it looked that way when I put the heads on but I didnt have time to take care of it
