I am new here i just bought my mustang its an 02 GT. It have these wheels. I am running Firestone Wide Ovals 245/45/17 on front and 275/40/17 in rear. The front ones look like they are to narrow for the wheels. The recomended size is 245/45. Was wondering if anyone else was running therse wheels and what are the widest tire i can get on the front? I was thinking about going 265/40/17. I also am looking at getting it lowered got any good threads to read about that? Ill do some searching and see if i can find some my self when i get a better chance to look.
Thanks
Brandon

Well that is my car for sure...... I am not sure what width the wheels are but according to the AR web site they only come in 9". They were on it when i got it. Here are some pics for referance. I just want to fill up my wheel with tread so it does not look so weird.

#2 Front tire pic you can see the tread does not come out to the edge of the wheel.

I have these wheels on my car. I run 265/35/18 on the front and 295/35/18 on the rears. My back rims are a 10.5 in wide. Here is a pic. Yeah i know wheel gap is treeible but i have not addressed the suspension yet. by the way you can fit 275's on the front

When i get new rubber on the front i think ill have them try one of the 275/40s on the front and see what it looks like.....I think it will be a little to big for looks but you never know. I also need to do some suspention work to get mine down where she needs to be on the wheel.

If the rims are 17x9 then the proper size is 275/40r17. Are the offsets on the rims different front and back? If not, then just try the rears on the front. I have a friend that ran 275s on 17x9 DD bullets on the front of his 02GT without any issues.
