does anyone somewhat close to olympia have a portable wideband? lm-1, ect?

i have an rwtd tune coming for my car and would like to borrow one of them if possible for a couple days/afternoon to test my a/f's from the tune. the local dyno shops charge 100+ per pull. so if it takes more then one shot at getting my tune down, i may as well buy my own wideband. not to mention driving back and forth everytime.

just seeing if anyone had one i could borrow, ill leave some cash for compensation. just trying to save a little cash if i can. ill pay to borrow it also.

thanks

Didn't you just get a tune from AFP this last weekend and Dynoed at RRev? I see in your signature you said it was a Mustang Dyno, It's actually a DynoJet. Good luck with your tune!

yeah i did. it needs to be re-tuned. a/f is getting into lean levels in a few spots. jeff said it read like a mustang dyno since it loads the car, must have gotten it mixed up then.

either way, ill be able to get some other things adjusted with this tune. just need a way to monitor the a/f and datalog it.

2bfeard, i was in touch with brian. he said hes busy up until this weekend and to try him then. if nothing else pans out, ill probably swing by since its 15 minutes from me about. im not sure if he was completely free or not though.

this coming weekend is my last one off until i start a new job. so im trying to make it happen then if possible.

thanks jon. i was actually looking into those last night since nothing else is working out yet.

389 on ebay, not too bad of a price. ill be purchasing that or heading to brians this week.

It is the new eddy current DynoJet, which has the steady state loading like a Mustang (good for tuning) and also does horsepower sweeps like most people are used to with a DynoJet. Works really good.

Here is your dyno, and the leanest I see is 12.45:1, which considering the stock cats are still in place and that it was recorded using a tail pipe sniffer is right in the ballpark. I usually see as much as .6 leaner at the tailpipe with the cats in there, and would consider your tune pretty conservative.

It never hurts to have a wideband in your car, and in fact is something I encourage to keep an eye on things all the time. I just wanted to let you know given the test conditions your tune is more conservative than what it appears on the dyno sheet. It is just a matter of knowing the equipment and how things such as cats can affect how it reads.

Thanks for using our dyno, hope to see you again soon!

i definately read alot of different opinions/differences online of the difference a tailpipe sniffer had over an o2 bung. that is what really made me worry.

i was happy with the numbers/tune i just wanted to make sure i was safe on the a/f. i called the # on the dyno sheet to ask tim about the reading, but i think you guys were out whenever i called.

i ironed that over for a few days and just decided to go with an rwtd tune. once i get the cash to buy a wideband it will help not having to drive south/north 2 hours to get a tune. especially while im working 6 days a week :nonono:

thanks for the info on the readings.
