GET THEM.. they are absolutely sick..

got the Maximum motorsports setup, 375 pounders up front w/ stiffer cobra struts, and 225 springs out back w/ the sport shocks.. along with AL rack bushings, CC plates, ST-brace, and LCA's..

you wouldn't believe how much better a "mustang" can take potholes and expansion joints, and corner, and LAUNCH !!

simply amazing..

now I realize they are expensive (I saved for 3 months!!) but if you're going to keep your stang for a while I'd say go for them instead of any other setup.. plus, setting the ride height is a bonus.. (I'll post pics of the ride tomorrow after I wash it !)

Wow, 375lb's up front!?!? We are in the process of adding them along with a K member to my dad's car and guess what his front spring rate is... 150lbs!!! Its a drag car mainly though.

man ive always wanted the MM coilovers....i want to drop the stang so bad...but i really wanna do it right the first time...and MM i know are truly the way to go...

Anthony

I will 110% agree with that statement.. I did the tokico blues + eibach sportlines setup and on the heavier SN95 that is definately not the setup to go with.. these drive 500% better.. the only setup I've felt come close to these was Koni's + H&R Race springs in terms or ride quality + handling ability... (another MM package)..

if I were you I'd wait and do it right, no sense wasting like $500 or more on something you're going to replace if you want more handling??

yeah, with the next step stiffer strut (The 2003 cobra vs. the sport tuned bilstein) + the 375 vs. 350 spring, the front end is solid.. funny thing is, I have better weight transfer now with this setup than with the eibach's.. (you can feel the rear-end sinking and hooking harder, maybe its LCA's)??

wow, 150 pounders up front, does that see the street at all? front end obviously must not be lowered?

i just ordered my rear coil over kit and i went with 150lb rear springs that is what they "autofab" recomended and i think i have 175lb. on the front of my car now , 375lb seams like alot for a coilover spring rate ?

with 175 do you drag race yours exclusively that seems really soft? yeah, 375 up front, its awesome stiff but the bilstein is so good on the road its WAY softer feeling than the eibach sportline spring.. and the 225 out back with the battery box is awesome too, the back-end still sinks on a good launch so its not too stiff to launch I guess..??

Oh yeh, it is driven to and from the track. Its not lowered yet, but like I said they are part of the coil over setup, so it could be. They are 14" long though too.

there's the diff too, 14" long softer springs are good cause they compress so much just under the weight of the car.. mine are like 8-10 inchs long and only compress like an inch or two...

is your dads car faster than you??

Yes. :( It has gone 11.95 at 115mph weighing 3350lbs with driver. Its a standard bore 302 with a FTI ported holley systemax II kit, along with an FTI cam. It has a LOT more potential in it... we screwed up when we put new SPR pistons in it. We inadvertently severely lowered the compression, plans are in the works to fix that though, after we see how the car responds to some suspension mods. It should do 118mph+ on the motor when its all iron'd out, at least that's the plan.

That's funny!!! Troy's only been to the track like once or twice, I'm constantly on him about it!!! I only rode in it once, but its not soft by any means. I'm no suspension expert, but I've always heard what Troy said... you don't need as stiff of springs when doing coil-overs.

yeah, you don't.. my 375 pounders up front are comparable to 600 pound springs in the stock location.. but man bilstein is an amazing damper so you can get by with a stiffer spring and not hurt ride quality as much...

wow, your dads car is a FOX body right? that's awesome.. must shift @ 6500 or so no?? that's a sweet ride.. FTI cams are amazing aren't they? mine is emissions legal (similar to e-cam) but man its torque curve is better!!!
