I tried indiglos a while back but never liked how freaking bright they were at night. I ran across a post over on the corral where this guy used super bright blue LEDs in his fox. Has anyone out there tried this in our cluster and happen to have pics? I'd guess the outcome would be similar. Maybe a setup like this with some cobalts would look pretty sharp.

I'll let you know in about a week. I'm going to be ordering a lot of LEDs for my car soon for things like that, the dome lamp, license plate lamps, etc. They won't be blue though.

i'd do bright white LED's in the cluster.

from what i've read, our guages are blue, but because of the crappy white/yellow lights, that makes the greenish look.

bright white led's through the blue = more blueish glow from the guages.

The original thread had comparison shots of the stock lighting, white LEDs, and blue LEDs. I had to send a pm to get a hold of these two pics as they aren't up on the thread anymore. From what I remember the white LEDs looked very much like stock, only brighter obviously, with quite a bit of bleed through around the needles.

Edit - Found the original thread over here on stangnet with pics intact.

just if you do, try to make sure to get LEDs that have a type of diffuser on them, otherwise the light they put out is very directional, and youll end up with very bright spots and dim spots

I have the green ones in my autometer gauges. They are MUCH brighter than the bulbs that come with it.
