Anyone else have clearance issues between brace and oil cap? I can get like half a turn before it hits the brace, then its stuck. Im driving it around now with only the firewall bolts installed. Is it possible to shorten the filler neck or find a thinner cap?

I wont be able to get it back home to do some real work to it until August/September, only thing i can think of for a temporary solution is stuffing a shop rag into the filler neck.

you have stock covers? I'm have the MMS brace and stock chrome valve covers. The brace covers part of the oil cap but there is enough clearance for me to unscrew it, remove it & reinstall it.

here is an older pic, it looks like the brace would make it impossible to remove the oil cap but it's the angle of the pic.

give mms a call maybe they screwed up the angle of the cross tube on the brace, it should work with stock valve cover for sure.

Prothane mounts raise the engine in most cases, because they mimic the old pre-90 "hardtop" style mount. The Energy Suspension mounts mimic the "convertible" style mounts used on pre-90 convertibles and on 90+ hardtops. They locate the engine between 1/2 inch and an inch lower than the Prothanes.
