aod from a t-bird to a mustang ... will it work

i found a aod from a '90 t-bird. i need one for a '90 stang
i've heard that it does fit...and i've heard that the output shaft is longer.
if you know for sure...please let me know.

Just a standard 5.0 t bird? I beleve they have one less foreward clutch and a different valve body. As far as physically fitting you may have to modify your d/s.

well the tailshaft measures out the same , which is what i was concerned about. i've always heard the output shaft was longer.
need more opinions....anyone know FOR SURE???
