AOD gear to t5 gear?!?!?

hey cant you just grind down the nipple on the AOD gear and it should work with a t5 right??

its green and just wondering if we can grind it down...

If you are talking about the speedometer cable gear, yes. I cut mine about half. Works great.

you talking about the speedo gear, right? answer is yes and no, they are interchangeable, however most aod drive gears have a differnt tooth count than the t5's. youd want to look up the proper combination based on youre rearend gear. cahnging out the drive gear on the t5 isnt hard to do, pull the tail housing, pop of the retainer, slide the new gear on, reassemble.

The driven speedometer cable gear is cheap- like 7 bones- I don't see why its worth trying to cut it apart to make it work, or even tearing apart the T5. Just go to the dealership and buy the right one.

It's a $10 part max. You can go to Ford and get one. Do it right, do it once.
