AOD REDLINE???

HEY for the record this is not a stupid question. i have a 88 lx 302 aod trans with 4:10 gears and a shift kit. why would my car shift at 5k?..i know on the tach it goes yellow at 5k then red near 6k but are the aods meant to shift so early or is it tuned from the original owner?..will the kit make it shift early? thanks

are you leaving it in drive and wondering why its shifting or are you holding it in a specific gear?

that makes no sense, why shift a stock car at 6 anyway? all it willl do is suck air.

sorry i eave it in the main drive postition i dont shift the car since it has the shift kit.

Baumann kit allows you to raise the shift points by adding shims and spacers. The thickness of the shims and spacers represent a certain amount of rpm increase.

well on a stock aod with 4:10 gears what be ther best shift point? i have yet to dyno the car so i will def find out when the time comes, but in the meantime stock cam what is the best shift points? thanks

also have can i find out what kit was installed???
