Aode to T5 swap complete

Aluminum flywheel, kc clutch, t5, MGW shifter

First gear is useless, i can top out first gear so fast, and i keep hitting 5600 rpm without trying to rev it that high... any tips on launching?

Its pretty fun compared to my AODE, definately freed up some power!

One thing is the shifts are very notchy, and kinda tough to get into reverse. Is it suppose to be like that cause of the short shifter?

man wha do you guys with upgraded horsepower do for first gear? It ends so quick already I cant imagine what its going to be like down the road when I get a supercharger or h/c/i

is the stock 1st gear ratio that bad? i thought i would get the stock 1st gear ratio when i do my swap because it might be kinda fun, even with 3.73's, but maybe i should just opt for the 2.95 1st ratio, i need whatever help i can get getting out of the hole with my heavy vert. and by the way, i heard the mgw shifter is very good, but the throws are a little tough(notchy), especially reverse just because it is such a short throw. i know that the mgw's made for the viper make it almost impossible to get it into reverse with one hand, or so ive heard on a few occasions

yeah the shifts are quiet notchy...im hoping it breaks in after a bit

yeah i would go with the 2.95, the stock 3.35 is very short

i did the swap but i still have stock gears and 1st is useless for other reasons now... too much spinning
