AODE to T5 swap??

I did the swap about 6 months ago and the tranny was sticking in to the passenger compartment (where the shifter is) so I couldn't fit the rubber dust boot..( I needed the plate that went between the mount and the tranny.) I just replaced the plate and the tranny still poking into the passenger compartment about a half inch. any ideas? thanks

i trimmed my hole and made it alittle wider on the passenger side, i've read that's normal but could be incorrect....hopefully somebody can chime in for ya.

can you explain exactly how you have your mount set up? Pictures would be awsome. In my experiences, I've had the shifter base come up about 1/2 inch. This is why it's necessary to cut the tunnel so it can come up a little. And I've always been able to get the lower dust boot on.
