Are 94-95 car instant classic

Us holders of the 94 -95 cars are we holding the next classic cars. think about this we are the first body style change like a decade or so. We have the forgotten 5.0s and in my opinion we have nice body style(i happen to own it so I better like it)... so do you guys think a few years from know people will be going after our car kinda like they do the 60s cars. Gives you somthing to think about when Modding out our SN-95. I always wondered about that.

How many of you guys/girls have all your original stuff in your sheds?waiting for the day.

They were only made for 2 yrs .
11-12 yrs old now and far and few between on the road I mean how many do you see?

I can count 5 that ive seen since I bought mine in september that were 5.0s and a couple v6's

one thing is prob. cert. that the stock/factory 94-95 rear tail lights will be the "org. chrome bumpers" of the 5.0...a bit of $$$ now...what will it be in 10 MORE years.

the 94-95 is a nitch I think, the foxes are classics and even now are re-defining the hot rod, classic's scene.

I dunno, they made alot of 94-95s, besides most of the old cars that are classics are pretty quick, lets admit it our cars stock are pretty sluggish, they also weigh more than fox bodys. But alot of the ones I see are pretty run down so maybe in 10 years the 94-95's in nice condition will bring a high asking price, but only time can tell

FWIW...alot of the avg. old classic cars went low 15's to mid 14's.

now you do have the ls6 chevell, GSX, Hemi's, 429 fords, exet. But in all honesty they were not the "common" classics rolling around back then.

Todays cars are faster on avg. than the avg. sports/muscle car of the 60's era.

They did make alot total...but accidents, v6 factor, and time have dropped that number alot I bet...plus look at how many fox's were built and look at the price they are bringing in ok shape but then again the fox is totaly re-writen history it IS the icon of all the 60's cars in one damn near.

They may be classic someday ...... but I think by that time we will all be running around in hydrogen cars because gasoline engines will be illegal for use on the highway.

Our cars or any other cars of the era aren't going to be collectable like the old cars of the 60's and early 70's in my opinion. I just don't see it happening, those cars started an unforgettable era and if it weren't for those cars, we probably wouldn't have the performace cars we have now. Those cars were lower production numbers, exotic packages and performance, and not taken care of as well as performance cars of today. Same thing goes with baseball cards, back in the day people didn't collect them, they abused them, then years later someone said, there aren't many of these around this might be worth money. But today people buy over produced baseball cards and as soon as they pull a good card from a pack they are put in a plastic case and left mint, and everyone and their bother has one.

Do you see the comparision, I just don't see our cars being EXTREMELY collectable. This isn't to say that some people won't want them and search them out, it just won't be to the same extent of the muscle cars.

yeah true that. i dont plan on selling this stang so i dont really care if it goes up in value, unless it goes up like the Shelby 500, because then ill be saying and the winner is lol

I think it can go both ways. No one can say for sure. We have only had 1 muscle car era. Think about it...cars JUST got started thinking in the "big picture". The 2nd muscle car era is starting now so who knows what people will think of the cars we have now 40 years from now. It will be the same amount of time....between now and 40 years ago and now and 40years in the future. It will definately be interesting and its something i think about alot.

I think our cars will always be "special"...dont know about collectors. The only stang with horizontals....new body with the famous 5.0 motor. I can imagine kids saying....."ohhhhh your dad has a 95 that had the 5.0 in it?!?!?!" then my son says...."nah....he swapped the 351w into it"

There is no doubt about it we own a red headed step child. A two year run setup that I consider almost like its own generation. It's not the old styling of the fox but its not the new powertrain either. Anytime you have something that is somewhat unique it will make the cars rare. Think about it, how many 94-95's do you see a day, not including your own. Now compare that number to 96-98/99-04/05+/Fox-bodies. Then if you have one that is in good shape low mileage and stock. Add some more years yes I do believe you have a classic. More so if its sporting an SVT badge. What makes the classic stangs collectors are not the fact that they are old, but its usually the ones that are low mileage documented original ones that survived in good shape. Personally I think if you hold on to the car long enough it will be a collectable/classic and it will be worth something. But then again that should not be a reason for keeping a car, because there are only a hand full of cars that without a doubt are good investments and they aint Fords.

the modern or "now" muscle car era is gen. started at 1987 with the aero fox front and the GN/GNX cars...thats almost a solid 20yr run and the 1st one was only from 1964-65 with the GTO until 1970 (the high point) so that was only a 5-6yr run...

I really think cars 20 years from now will be rare, indeed...
but my whole question is what's going to make it a classic?
the fact that everything's still all original?
Or the fact that it's been redone to the tits?

Keep in mind, very few 94-95 mustang owners out there are driving original cars anymore.

Just becuase the car had a very limited run doesn't mean it will be worth anything in the future. A classic car is one that has nostalgic value to a wide variety of people. In 30 years, I don't think you will find that with our cars. BUT . . . . you never know

What I DO see happening though is people paying a lot for Cobras and I could image there may be a few people out there who have their mind set on buying every version of the Cobra.
