are LM2 really that loud?

So after about a year of sweet sweet music from my SLP LM1 I finally get pulled over by some stick in the mud officer . I believe I have to appear at an inspection center so my question is how much quieter are the LM2 vs LM1. I like the fact that I can just clamp them up and go so do you think it will be worth it? I also have some dynomax pipes that came with the car but they were about as quiet as stock. Unfortunately those are now cut in half because I had to take them off to install the SLP's. So, should I weld the dynomax up for inspection or pick up some LM2 mufflers?
