Are these 351 swap headers?

Hello,

I just got a 66 with a 351w swap that the old owner started. It originally had a 6. The old owner took the engine, tranny, rear end and al the running gear out of a 69 mach1.

The drivers side motor mount is not connected because the headers on the car wont let the engine sit all the way down in the bay, they hit the towers. Can someone tell by this pic if these are the Hedman 66/351 swap headers or just standard Hedman 351 headers? They do have the Hedman tag on them.

Also, are there any adjustable motor mounts available for this application? I'd like to raise the engine up a little and go with 1 5/8" headers if possible. For now I would live with 1.5 though if I could get the engine to bolt to the stock mounts. I am not sure if he pulled the mounts off the 69 (would they even fit?) or if he got them from a 66 289. I am not worried about hood clearance.

Thanx
Mark

Here are the adjustable motor mounts. Don't know if you could raise it though.
I have a 351W in a 68 with hedmans specific to this swap. The towers are wider in a 68 too. A 351 can fit in a 66 so my guess is that the wrong headers are installed.

If the headers are already 1 5/8 and they fit I would not want to raise the engine. I was just worried these were swap specific headers and I would still have to notch the towers. I have not measured the towers to see if they have sagged though. Hopefully they have not being that there was a 6 in there until recently.

Thanx for the info.

Hedman Swap Header

The headers in the photo are not the Hedman 351W swaps. The swap header would have the # 7 tune come up and over the # 8 tube (paraeling the valve cover) then down past the master brake cylinder to join with the reat of the tubes at the collector.

The passenger side may have the same type of up and over tube design.

I bought those headers and had to notch my shock towers to get them to fit. Then I had to take it to an exhaust shop to get my H pipe to hook up. I dont know about that kit though.
