yes & no, yeah you lose hp rite now but, you wish you got them 2 years down the road, look at Pro Topline heads i was going with Victor Jrs, but i got my heads cheap and they flow awsome these heads are new and there not going to be cheap once every one gets word how good they flow, http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=404858
do you know anything about the 180cc....they have 64cc chamber and 58cc chambers. Do you know if you have to notch the pistons. also what kind of rockers do they require. any other info will help. also wheres the cheapest place to buy them
the only thing i know is the 180cc have , 3/8 studs so you need 3/8 roller rockers, 2.02/1.60 valves, but sould flow awsome for 180cc, it all depends on what cam you run, .512 lift and under you shold be fine, but anything over that you would want to clay and check p to v clearnce
Do not get victor j's because those are huge heads for your weak 302. Those things also have 2.08 standard position valves that will hit your pistons unless you have aftermarket notched pistons. The runners on those things will kill your power and are designed to flow up to like 8k so remember that. Not streetable with a mild 302.
they have 2.05 valves
but i think that there are better choices for now. However, if you have big palns ahead, liek a 351 based stroker, then go ahead and get them. But not the best choice . Just my opinion...
