Well my stang is giving me troubles! Whenever its hot out or humid it runs like balls. I don't mean the normal bad slowness of hot air, it hesitates, backfires, feels like its bogging. The lower rpm range itll just bog and then pick up like its catching up. The car is such a beast when its cold out or when it first gets turned on. Can it be MAF/BAP related? The ECT was replaced, along with plugs, wires, cap, rotor.

Have you pulled the codes? That's the first thing I'd do.

After the first 120 seconds, the car runs off of the o2 sensors. After the ECT tells the car it's at operating temperature, the EGR kicks in. You may have O2 or EGR problems. Get a haynes manual and start testing. And remember, the EGR doesn't work until the car is warm, and only in part throttle. Closed throttle and WOT it will not work, by design.

Another thing to look at is the smog pump. It runs off the acc belt and could be locked up. I haven't found any specific documentation, so I don't really know how to test it, to be honest.

The way you put it it kinda sounds like the EGR valve. So if it was open when its not supposed to be I guess it could be causing my problems? What if there was a leak where the EGR went into the intake?
