OK, 91 LX, just got a killer little drivetrain setup for the car for dirt cheap. The car already has the QA1 coilovers, A-arms, c/c plates, etc, etc. I figured while I have the drivetrain out would be a good time to go ahead and change out the K-member. My only concern with this is ensuring it goes back in perfectly straight. I dont want any wander in the front end caused by 1/2 degree misalignment.

Anyone have any tips on making sure this thing goes in and stays in straight? If so, please post

When I did mine I just took measurements from the motor mount holes to a spot on the core support.
Im not sure if it made a difference but it was better then nothing.

Do you have any alignment or wandering issues? What type K-member?

It was a UPR K-Member. I put everything back and didn't change the steering rack adjustments any and when it was all said and done the passenger side tire looked like it was making a right hand turn.
I turned the tie rod end until it was close to get it to the alignment shop and it was all over the road.

After I got it aligned it drove fine.

Cool, when will you be in Memphis to do mine?

I dont think I trust my self to get it just right and I am weird about perfection, so I will hope someone else chimes in with a method they used to get it "true"

I am glad yours worked out so well for you

Lol. I was just in Nashville a few weeks ago.....

Anyway I know how you feel about wanting it to be perfect but the fact of the matter is that the fox body platform is not perfect. Also aftermarket K-Members are not perfect. Knowing this I just did the best I could and it worked.

Maybe someone else will have a different method.
