Attempted to get duals today...

The exhaust sounds great MSP, not sure that I would trade it for my 5.0's growl, but the tuned sound matches the modern marvel that is the 05 Mustang.
As far as the superchargers for the V6. You may have an easier time adapting a centrifigal type supercharger (like a Vortech) as opposed the the roots style. i am not sure that whipple or magnacharger or Kenne Bell has ever had an application for the V6 Mustang. But I have definitely seen some centrifugal supercharger applications for the V6 stang (prior year models). Plus the roots type blower is said to be alot rougher on your engine do to the instant boost, rather than the build up in relation to RPM that the centrifigal offers. Just some things to think about.

Thanks for the info PhilStang.. This is why I have sent an email, to inquire on more information.. Is not Duner's SuperCharger a roots style? His does not kick in instantly, but as the engine builds up in rpm.. If I am wrong about this please correct me.. Thanks..

duner, a customer of mine has an 03 with a smaller pulley, and im with you on that one, whine louder than a hungry baby.

He is puttin 518 down at the wheels with his pully, intake, exhaust, and chip. He wants to put a throttle body on it next.

Man am I loving this exhuast setup. Today i had to slow down for a big truck to pull of the road, resulting in me slowing to about 15mph, and i have never EVER seen my auto downshift and throw my head into the seat, but man it sure did today. I would highly recomend exhuast work to be done on these new v6's, i think Ford really did cork these beasts up :D

An easy way for you to determine how these will sound, just unbolt your catback after the X, except that the tail pipes will takes out some of the drone associated with a dumped setup.

Yeah, thats why i got to thinking, that much money for some chrome tips and GT positioned mounts, i could prolly do it myself if i wanted too....

Thats a very nice find there Echo7! I'll think about it for awhile.. I like the concept as well.. But what will it do to our Torque? Thats the burning question..

No no no! Not enough backpressure! It pops like a string of Chinese firecrackers! Its loud, but sounds HOORRIBLE. There is a car on a Hyundai lot here in town that has straights on it, Y-piped, and it sounds like a friggen bumble bee! Its awful! You're also going to KILL your accell, since you're basically losing ALL your backpressure!

Do what phil said, just take off the muflers (i know i can, i'm setup like a GT) not sure if you can if they did custom magnaflows. Then drive around on it and see what it sounds like and what the power is like.

I think I'll try that Echo7.. I need to complete the dyno as soon as the shop feels I'm worthy of a dyno.. They keep playing games.. What are they trying to hide? LOL!! The V6 legend is at hand, they fear the results.. LOL!! Just kidding.. Once I get dynod, I'll remove mufflers, and get dynod again...

Ok guys!! So this is the deal! I got the dyno done..!

I'm not sure how to read the results... The RWHP rating has perplexed me.. However the RWTQ rating seems quite good...

RWHP=182.68

RWTQ=216.92 @ 5200RPM

So my question is, did I suggest the wrong Power rating to the rear wheels to MisterCMK.. I suggested based on HP..

Whats everyones overall impression based on these results?

Plugging in 15% back into both scenarios gives the following results..

HP=210

TQ=250---Overall

Up from Stock which is

HP=210

TQ=240

So the XPIPE seems to give more love to Torque? Basically all my mods have basically left HP the same and increased Torque by 10HP..

Very interesting results.. Can anyone make it make sense?

Most guys are getting 190RWTQ? Or more?

LOL!! Basically, did MisterCMK score a knockout? Could be!!

The guy down at the shop said these results for a V6 are good, because an older 302 cubic inch motor with an Auto Tranny is roughly about the same.. The shop is an all Mustang only Restoration shop.. They build Hotrods..

Also, is that 10HP the Jolt I said I feel above 5000rpm? It appears to be the case...

Basically, I believe the cars weight has alot to do with the SOTP Dyno.. I could have sworn it was doing much better.. But it looks like the Power to weight ratio has been slightly over-done, and is why it feels like more power..

Well, back to the drawing board.. What do you all think of the results? Thanks..

@ALL

I will go to the other shop, which uses a different type of Dyno(Water Break).. I am so pissed off at this dyno result.. I dont believe it..

This particular guy was so discouraging against the V6, I have lost trust in his opinions now.. I know this could be related to a type of let-down syndrome I may be experiencing.. So this is why I will go to the other shop and use their Dyno..

Put it this way guys, I am in my 2005 Mustang for the long haul.. I will not settle for anything less than kick ass.. So if the facts bare out that I cant get done what I would like to do with this particular engine, then I will yank it out, and just go V8.. I'm not playing games guys.. I have high hopes for this car.. This V6 engine should bare fruit in the end.. But I will only invest so much money into it, before I make a decision either way..

The problem could be related to the chip program. It may need a modified tune before the real power is opened up.. I must study this situation very carefully.. I wont get stuck in a bad situation.. I am furious at this dyno result.. You have no idea..

I must maintain calm right now.. LOL!! But believe me, when I say I will yank this motor, dont think it wont happen.. I dont give a damn about the warranty either.. This Mustang's life will last alot longer than the warranty.. I wont have the warranty situation keep me from perfection.. Sorry guys.. but I will hang around long enough to know whats best. I wont give up that easily.. But I wont be dumb enough to waste money either..

Let me explain something.. If the design of the block dictates that the cylinder heads start to pull away from the block under so much pressure, then I'm ******ing this motor real quick.. So it can be sold for a good price.. Do you understand coming from?

It could be, that the design is such that 300HP is a tough nut to crack realiably.. I'm not sure yet.. But just be weary, that I am dead serious about this Mustang.. Should I have gone GT? Maybe.. Based on my strict requirements for utter satisfaction.. Its possible.. I wont know for awhile.. I need more facts to come to light about this motor... :bang:

Those numbers seem very low, i'm dissapointed too, lol, just wait till i get that G-Tech thats in the mail from fazm. However, you could look at it this way MSP, it only took 182 rwhp to make that car feel as it does, just imagine 250 rwhp :D

I think you should do a second dyno, just to get a second opinion for say, like a doctor, hope it comes good!

MSP, so you want to go one more round? :D

I have to give you a lot of credit for staying with it, and having enthusiasm for the car. Please, just remember that any ribbing I give you is in good fun. Now, that being said, when do you want to run your V6 against my V8?
