So basically Kevin, with the price cap for Supercharging at $2500 bucks installed, then the total cost of the new Mustang V6, is still less than the GT.. If the Supercharger companies agree to this concept, then its worth it.. But to produce a system which is equal to the cost of a V8 system, ranging from $3500 to $5500, they can forget it.. The longterm effect on the cars value is greatly increased with a V8 installed, so dont waste the money...

Also, Kevin, this particular arguement is most likley why we dont see an abundance of systems related to the V6 Mustang.. It could be that the companies cant produce a system which could be installed in this price range, and therefore, most companies just ignore the V6..

I think most companies ignore the V-6 because of the notion that the Supercharger wouldnt sell, because of the stereotypical V-6er isnt an "enthuast"
look here at this :

In this link, is a good excuse against the Supercharging effect.. They have 5 available..

Lets say you and I, and Echo7, order these today?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7975413898&category=33615&sspagename=WDVW

See what I mean Kevin? Now you know we cant get this type of power by just adding a SuperCharger alone.. Which means, we would need to invest alot more to even get to this level...

Do you have any idea what is involved with a motor swap? Do you even know if that motor will work with your tranny? I can guarantee you the motor mounts won't. You'd have to rip out your entire computer system. You'd go from a fairly high tech computer management to a low tech carb? Everything on this car is designed to work with that motor so it is not going to be a simple swap. It will cost you a whole lot more money than just the motor. You can pretty much double the cost of the motor to get someone to do it because I'm fairly certain you can't do it yourself judging by your posts. You can also wave goodbye to your warantee. In short it would ruin your nice new car.
Be happy with what you have or get something else. Wait until 2006 and get a GT. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper than what you are considering. Or just slap on a nitrous system. You are all upset because you can't beat an older GT. Who cares? Even if you get a crate motor there will always be someone faster. Don't ruin your car over one dyno test.

no I am not upset cause I cant beat an older GT, I love my V-6. so much so that I bought another one last night.
I am not a racer I just am interested in learning some things, and i also am interested in possibly doing the duel exhausts for the look and sound of it.
yes i understand the costs of changing out a motor, had to do it with my first Mustang.

Yeah an engine swap would take a whole lot of time to work out, i mean, unless you can fabricate your own stuff to help out, your going to have to get it installed by someone else, which would prolly cost you as much as the motor itself. Now the tranny is another story, god knows how that would work out. As much as i want to see both a suped up stock V6 and a big ass V8 dropped in, the suped up V6 is much more econoical at this point. I would guess that doing a swap, when your all done getting it running would cost as much as buying a whole nother V6.

Come on guys, settle down...
But I think Jimp is correct, the motor swap is not economical and is out of the question... not to mention you cannot get a car inspected that has an older motor than the year of the car.
Visit the 94-2004 Mustang V6 forums from this site, find out what the heavy hitters have done, and go from there. I'm thinking stroker kit, worked over heads, a nice choppy cam, fuel and ignition upgrades... basically the same kindof stuff that makes any motor perform better.

Interesting that he can basically call me a dumb-ass but you guys only choose to reply to my response.. I wonder why that is..? If he had of posted his opinions without the insults, it would have been viewed by me as helpfull, and a 2nd opinion.. But he started off in a threatning tone..

I can see I am a target at this forum.. Constantly to be insulted, then have Duner come to make sure I take insults like a lil bitch.. Screw that Duner.. I wont be insulted.. Regardless, you guys never would have posted, if I just allowed him to insult me.. Duner, its obvious your only intention is to publicly scold me.. I think your critisizm should be handed out more fairly...

I have responded to your PM also Duner..
