ATTN: red94fiveo and others using Pro Mags with AFRs

Those rockers are the best rocker arm in the industry, hands down. How can a lightweight aluminum rocker get sideloaded on just one particular head. It's just not logical. I think it's more of an issue of someone not knowing what they are doing. It sounds like the guys who own that "race shop" don't need to build any more "race cars". You could always go with Scorpions. After all, they're made in Japan .

BTW...with my FTI AFR's and Custom Cam...Ed Curtis suggested Scorpion RR's which he uses with most of his NMRA Pure Street Racers. And last time I saw, they were doing fairly well, just ask Darin Hendricks.

I know that some Scorpions are made in Japan, or at least they were. They was something posted on here a little while back about the difference in color, and we concluded that one color was the Japanese version of the rocker, and the other color was American.

As far as my comment about them being Japanese, I was saying that they would be more reliable. The Pro Mags were basically being called a "junk" rocker because they were being sideloaded. Since the Pro Mags are made in America, I sarcastically said that you could buy the "superior" Japanese product. I never said that Scorpions are a junk rocker, in fact, I too bought a set of Scorpion rockers from Ed.

I believe the conclusion was that silvers were USA, blues were imported. But I thought it was China that the blue ones were imported from, not Japan. Not that it matters, probably. I kinda wish I had gotten Magnums (not Pro).

Nothing really "wrong" with them -- they're loud, and they cost $200. And I guess if I keep the car long enough they'll wear out. The Magnums cost about $140 and should last longer. There are all kinds of things I would do differently if I were doing this project again ... live and learn!
