Auto Guys...how Happy Are U With The Ride.

Maybe he hasn't found the secret power once you get the damn krap ass throttle to the carpet. I hate that but If you want mustang power you gota floor it. Tell him to put his peddel into the carpet and hold on. His auto mach should be good for 13.6

Yeah, I just saw him today and for whatever reason, he's much happier now. He said he ordered some 4:10's and trans cooler, but forgot to get a tuner for calibration of the gears. I told him about diablo, superchips and others so hes undecided now.

I'm adding a tranny cooler as well, I want the tranny to last at least another 25k, then whatever happens happens, I've been waiting to do a 5 speed swap anyway, and that would be all the more reason to.

My auto ain't bad, I suppose. Driver friendly, daily driven, and doesn't loose boost during shifts; just keeps pulling and pulling...I love it! :)

Wasn't always like that, though. When stock, it really didn't feel much faster than my mother's '95 Crown Vic. Stock autos really lack that low end SOTP "feeling", even though its disadvantage to 5-speeds in the 1/4 mile is only marginal. The mushy shifts (made for comfort, not performance IMO) and longer gearing makes it feel like it takes forever to rev and go. Gears and a reflash solved that problem.

I bet u do love it, with that KB!

I havent thrown in a shift kit or gears yet, but I got a smokin deal on a superchips tuner, so I threw it on and adjusted the shift points and upped the pressure. Night and day on how it drives now. No more slop!

Well my friend just added 4:10's, slp loud mouth and upr upper/lwr cntrl arms. I drove it around and it feels pretty good, but honestly, it doesnt feel any better than my car until 5K rpms when its still pulling pretty good. My car at 5k rpms is just in motion whereas his seems to have more in it. Other than that, from a stop mines feels preety good vs his. I must admit, those machs have a mean look with that hood shaker.
We will race again 2morrow night and Ill post results.

Big T, I'm not sure what my 1/4 mile time is. I can't get at a 1/4 mile track, as there is none near here. However, I'm making plans to hit the track. Hopefully, I'll go this fall. I've got new suspension plans comming up and I think next summer, I'm gonna see if I can't get some cam and head upgrades. She'll be a beast by then.:D

How is the plasma booster working out for you damacman ?

Based on your sig, with some good tires, u are probably high 12's or at the least 13.0's...U have a couple of better mods than I do, LT's...will give u at least .1 better than me.

Yeah, I'm figuring my car is around a high 12, low 13 car. My future mods for this year is probably going to be a tubular K-member w/ tubular a-arms and a coil over kit for the front end. I've also got a set of QA1 10 way adjustable struts I've been meaning to put in there. I'm also looking into going with a set of adjustable shocks w/ coil overs for the rear. Hopefully, I will get these mods installed and get my car to the track sometime this fall. I'm hoping to pull 12's with just bolt-ons n/a automatic.

I like it - there's quite a few threads about them on stang net . . .
Yeah, I know there is quite a few threads about them. So far, I've heard mixed results. Some people have positive results, and others don't. I haven't really seen much dyno feed back on them, nor any track results. I'm still skeptical for now.
