I know a lot has been posted on this topic, but I figured I'd add another to the list.

Board Ford
15265 East Whittier Blvd.
Whittier, CA 90603

I read the "Rizzo" method and decided to give it a shot. Why not, I figured, can't hurt. So I proceeded to ask for price quotes from various dealers via e-mail and told them roughly what I had already been offered by a couple other dealers.

Anyway Board Ford's response was "PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME -- BOARD FORD"

I would avoid them like the plague for the simple fact that they are obviously not interested in the customer or for that matter simple courtesy.

BTW I got several replies from other dealers who were quite pleasant even though they would not match the price I was asking.

Don't you love rude people

I had a similiar experience when shopping around for my '05 V6 down here in San Diego, CA.

I started my day calling and e-mailing Ford dealers around my area. A few of the dealers around here were quoting me $500 off MSRP and sent me written verification via fax or e-mail.

Very good results I thought to myself so I make one last call. I speak on the phone to a "Sales Manager" at Poway Ford and tell him of the other offers. He says nicely "We can beat that! Why don't you come down and I guarantee we'll get a good price for you!". I say "Great, can you sent me an e-mail or fax stating that you'll beat or match $500 off MSRP?". He turns right around and says harshly "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO TO THEM!" *click*

Very nice of him.

I ended up a few days later purchasing a manual Black '05 V6 Stang w/ wing and stripes for $1000 off MSRP from San Juan Capistrano Ford.

Thats nothing

My 2005 GT was stolen from a dealership in SoCal and driven for 60 miles by one of their employees and all they offered to do it wash it and fill it up with fuel. They were rude and never returned calls and when I did get a hold of the service manager or general manager they would tell me to wait until the legal team decided to call me. Well now about 3 weeks later I finally got a call from a service advisor willing to help me out. I think they should promote him to General manager and fire the piss of amphibious sh** they have right now. Once it's all settled I will let you all know what dealer it was and ill post a copy of the police report.
