Hey guys got back from Jackson, SC about an hour ago and happy that I finally got to run my car but I was not happy with myself. In all I got about 8 runs in, but ill take the best from 3 runs. My first run was godawful at [email protected] with a 60foot of 2.180. I jumped the clutch, grinded 2nd and got back on it that i spun again. That 60 foot would remain the best of evening.
My best run for the night was a [email protected] wutg a 60 foot of 2.216. This was my 7th run btw. I brought the tires down to about 23 psi, stock khumos 285/45/17.
My first three runs, I kept shifting at redline, but after thinking about it I remembered that I should shift before it. Shifting shortly after 5 I managed to bring the trap to 99s for the rest of the evening. My best being a [email protected] with a 60 of 2.208.
I went to the track with a bunch of F bods, and it seemed that many Z 28s were running a lil higher then me so that was comforting, but Im still not happy.I gave the tires a lil roast everytime, nothing too long. Windows were up, everything off including traction control. It was cold as hell out there tonight and traction seemed a problem for everyone but whats new. On the good side, I won most of my races, the only ones I lost to were a new vette and a Z28. The Z28 had just been bought used and was bone stock but ran a best of 13.9@99mph. Bone stock! None the less winter is here and I have finally gone to the track so I had an idea of what I need to improve on. Altho I am disapointed with myself and how I ran for my mods.
As of right now im looking into a new catback, with some 2 chambers and maybe some shorties headers. Any advise or help would be good on what I can do or what are some good cat backs? Thanks everyone. I also have all my time slips if anyone has anyquestions about any of my runs Thanks again!
