what should the backspacing/offset be if i want to run 315's on a 10.5" rim? i saw that paul said his were a 6.75 backspace, but that's the only info i could find. so i'm in the dark about what offset they should be and not much better on backspacing. is there a common size that everyone runs? thanks, nate.

cool thanks. and what about the front wheels? i'm guessing it doesn't really matter because whatever cobra r's i buy will be about right. (yeah, i'm getting cobra r's because they look great and i've never seen any mustang with cobra r's much less any gt's)

Most of the combos I've seen with 17x9 and 17x10.5 wheels have the offset and backspacing as follows:

Front - +26mm (6.11" backspace)
Rear - +27mm (6.9" backspace)

It seems like the numbers above would keep the front tires (275/40) from sticking out too far and would possibly make sure the rear tires are near flush with the outer edge (315/35).

That's what I've seen so far and not much else. I'd hate to get the wrong setup and have an issue with my 2.5" catback pipes rubbing or rubbing on the actual outer fender. I'm in the same boat, but I'm also thinking about going with 17x9 all around with a 1" spacer in the rear. Not sure yet.
