Well, I think I jumped the gun on buying my kit. I get al these different sources of information saying different things.

First it'll work, then it won't, then it will, but only with North Coast Brackets, then my wheels are too wide and they'll stick out. UGH!!

Here is my kit, PLEASE tell me if this will work, jeebus! lol

I have all the parts from a '96 GT. Axles, Spindles, Hubs, Calipers, everything from the '96. I have a '93 Cobra Master Cylinder and a new adj. prop valve from Summit.

I have bought already, the 10th Anniversary Cobra wheels [17"x9"].

From everything I've read, I screwed up by not getting the Ranger axles, that are the same track as the Mustang I have. I know that the '96 is wider by 0.75", but will that screw me and my 9" wide wheels?

dang it dang it!

Thanks for any clarification possible!

Adam

It really depends on the offset. I have aftermarket Cobra R's that are 9" wide and had to roll the fender lip with the stock length axles.
If the offset of the rims is the same then you are going to run into a problem.

sorry i didnt get back to u, im using the baer brake kit, which retains the stock axle length. they supplied the axles
That's ok Sgt. Funny thing is, is that I am talking with Kelly from Baer right now about getting their kit.

You have no clearance issues with the wheels, right? Any rolling of the fenders needed?

None what so ever, Rick helped me with my kit. No rolling fenders, no problems, NADA! Good luck! make sure you get the new upgraded calipers.

what kit is it?
Front spindles, hubs, dust shields, rotors (new), calipers (rebuilt), brake pads (new) and brake hoses. Rear axles, mounting brackets, dust shields, rotors (new), calipers (rebuilt), brake pads (new) and brake hoses. Also, the '93 Cobra brake master cylinder.

From top left to right is the 3/16 male/female rear proportion valve adapter. The front prop vlv plug, Emergency brake cable retaining clips, 1/2" Grade 8 washers (shims to allow your ball joint castle net cotter pin key hole to align, I'll even throw in new aircraft grade cotter pins) and crush washers for the brake lines

Just to throw another idea out there, take a look at the setup in this thread. I have a couple of friends that are doing the same exact setup on their projects with the SN95 rear brakes and Ranger length axles. Basically you modify the SN95 brackets to mount inside the axle flange instead of outside like stock. Then the only additional cost is the Ranger or other Fox length 5 lug axles.

But I think there are problems with the Corral website, it isn't working for me right now.

Good luck, those wheels look great on the Fox cars.
