not sure if this is the place for this, but i feel you guy's are a part of my family.
i've not been around too much lately.dealing with lots of personal stuff.first,me and my girl almost called it quit's.with both of us working,we kind of started to drift apart.after alot of arguing and crying

But about a week before we could leave, while we were dealing with our issues,an 80 year old woman decided to cut off my girl while she was driving the civic.all this put me in a serious financial hurting.
destroyed both wheel's,passanger side's done, some frame damage.estimate on repairs, right around $4,000.the old womans insurance wants to total it out.i bought it for $2,650 last year with 168,000 imles on it.the bad is it was a salvage title, the good is it was in excellent shape, everything worked as it should.the only down side was the paint.
when we spoke to the ins company yesterday, she said they were waiting for the estimate on how much the car's worth.she said it might be around $2,500.but she's not sure yet.
any tip's on how to handle this?
