T bearing is making tons of noise above 2500rpm. Sounds awful, can it cause tons of damage which will wind up costing me tons of $$$$. I need to drive the car too so i cant let it sit. i plan on changing it out next weekend. I have a tremec 3550, what type of bearing retainer would i need if that is chewed up? I want HD or performance parts too, anyone recommend a T bearing or anything? HAYS sells a HD unit. but i've never done it.

i had a bad throwout bearing in my car for along time. several months and quite afew miles. it will slowly get louder and louder. it chewed up the new clutch in the car, under 3k miles.

you need to replace the clutch for the tremec anyway so you should be fine.

yeah the clutch is fairly new too which sucks its nothing special just a king cobra unit. but i know my flywheel is pretty much gone anway, the shop who resurfaced it said theres almost no meat left on it so its not gonna last much longer. so i'm thinking maybe i'll wait and upgrade the flywheel and the clutch all at once. I guess what i'm asking can it harm my tranny in anyway? I have some money wrapped up in the tranny it self i'm not too worried about the clutch or anything because its cheap to fix, i just dont wanna replace my transmission or interal parts.
