Well my front ball joints are shot so I need to get new ones. My stang is lowered a lot (don't know how much) and has Eibach springs, UPR C/C plates, and bumpsteer eliminators on the front end already. I would like to lower it more so I was looking at the Ford Racing Extended ball joints or the Steeda x2's. Which ones would be better to go with?

They're the same. Go with the cheapest set you can find, some have found around $100.

Why would you want to lower it more? Any lower than it is now and you'll be scraping the exhaust on every speed bump you come across, and on some roads you might not be able to pass at all. Unless you're going to be driving on roads that are billiard table smooth with no speed bumps, I would advise against it.

I want to lower the front about another 1/2 inch because I put 255/40/17's on the front and am getting 315/35's for the back. I want it to have a little rake and the 255/40's are 25 inches tall, 315/35's are 25.7' tall. Right now the rear sits a hair lower than the front. Hopefully this will make it sit like I want it to.

What makes you think that your balljoints are shot?

If I were you I would get brand new FRPP control arms from Summit which come with bushings and low friction balljoints for $169.99

yeah, but thats not going to lower it anymore.. I installed x2 balljoints on mine.. they work great... I left out the spacers to lower it an additionall 1/2 inch.. My old ones were rusted in and therefore the biggest pain in the butt of anything that I have done to this car (which is ALOT)... Good luck...

could prob always just cut half a coil off?

i too was gonna suggest the 03 cobra front control arms... tho it wont lower, itll improve turning radius on our vehicles... plus the technology between our balljoints now and the 03s are prob a complete 180..

u could always take ur isolators out as well

they squeak and make all kinds of noise and I was going to use a grease needle and lube them but the boots are torn up and not holding any grease. I smeared some grease around them and it quieted it down for a little bit. I ordered the Steeda x2's since Ford doesn't make theirs any more.
