I just put my Bassani Street Competition catback on yesterday with my lt's and shorty o/r h and noticed that the mufflers have the same type of baffling as the tips. It looks like it is just one bolt on the underside of the tailpipe that holds the baffling in place? if i unscrew it will the baffling just pull right out? and how much louder would that make it? will the baffling go right back in? I love the way it sounds right now, it's unlike any Mustang i've heard. thanks for any help.

Assuming it's construction is similar to my Bassani stuff, those baffles should slide right out. The sound increase is significant (in my opinion). I used my baffles once and then they went into the garage as I thought the wide open sound was MUCH better.

Yeah, they should go right back in but it can be tight sometimes. To get mine out, I had to use needle nose vice grips and a side hammer. If you've been driving for awhile, you may have to do the same since the baffle material tends to break down.

yeah my Bassani stuff is a few years old now, but i assume they are manufactured in the same way....just the one bolt and they pull out....i couldnt tell you how much louder they are without them because the baffles never made it too my car :)

yeah i put my whole exhaust on saturday and by sunday night i had to take the baffles out because it was killing me. its sounds soooo good now i cant even believe it. the baffles made a huge difference, but i also think since i popped for the street competition mufflers instead of the quiet thunders, that helped alot too.
