Battery relocation done.....PICS!

Got around to finishing my battery relocation using the Taylor kit and Flaming River switch. Here's a couple pics. BTW, this took WAAAAY longer than I thought it would. I took my time so it wouldn't burn up the car when I turned the key.
The box really shines..

Here's the flaming river switch. (handle and rod not in pic). I bought a used taillight and will run the handle through the light to be legal.

You don't really need the fuse but it's a good idea to have one. The fuse is for the alternator to kill switch wire. The stock alternator wire (orange/black) has a fusible link (fuse) near the distribution box so i figured it was best.

It took most of the day start to finish. A lot of time was spent routing the wiring, taking pics, taking out the back seat (BTW>>>back of the rear seat on verts weigh 10.5lbs and the bottom of the seat weighs 11lbs), removing the wheel, and getting the lug on the starter.

I used the Taylor relocation kit, flaming river cutoff switch, lugs and fuse holder from west marine, and assorted shrink tubing and zip ties from Home depot.
EDIT.....Got the 1/0 welding cable from a local welding shop.

Very nice engine bay Onebad95! My next project will be wire hiding and giving the engine bay a once over. It really needs it.

And with all my extra lights and stuff going to my battery (Neons, strobes, radio) i'd be months doing that. And i hardly have room in my truck with my sub box and amp gotta keep the room i do got

Well, for one, moving a full size battery to the trunk is the equivelent of moving the engine back something like 6-7 inches (or so I've heard; I've never bothered to run the calcs). Further, some people do make use of that space, especially for the turbo crowd.

Personally, I think a cleaned up, shaved and smoothed engine bay looks infinitely better than a chromed everything yet cluttered one. Just me though.
