Does anyone know why these springs are constantly creaking and clunking? I just bought an 89 LX and the guy that I bought it from said that the springs are settling. Is this true? I think the springs were installed a few months ago.
The front sway bar is removed, not sure if that is part of my problem.

You need to describe the creaking and clunking a little better. Isit comming from the front end? the back end?
When does it do it?

Also, replace the front swaybar. It was put there for a reason.

The creaking happens when I take off from being stopped. It's mostly in the left front but I have heard it in both rear springs as well. I'm not sure if the isolators were reused or replaced. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

My car currently has BBK springs and no isolators and it makes ALL KINDS of weird noises... personally, I can't wait to replace them... for the record, the car was that way when I got it!

My Steeda springs do the same thing but only the right rear.I installed new isolaters when I put them in so its not that. The springs were in for a few months with no problems and the one spring just started poping usually when I pull away from a stop.I have to get underneath and check to make sure the spring didnt shift or something. In the Steeda directions it said that the bottom end of the spring must faced towards the drivers side of the car.Maybe thats it

I got BBK springs with new isolators no squeeks of any sort here.

Make sure you index the springs properly when there installed. There is a little hole in the front control arm where the end of the spring is supposed to sit....Just for a future reference if you ever change them.

Edit: On a side note I replaced my rack bushings with off-set ones. This may be your promblem.
