Been a long time - How are you guys? PICS

I have not been around here too much. I sold my 94 Cobra a while back, and bought an 04 Mystichrome, so I have not been in this area much. I have to say though, the 94-95 Stangnet group is by far the best group I have had the pleasure of interacting with. I will occasionally be sneaking over to see whats going on. I see a lot of new names, and a lot of old names. Hope you guys are all doing well, and look forward to hearing from some of the people I dealt with on a regular basis.

I am still in the military, still living in Washington, moved to a newer house(not the yellow one), and the rest of the family is great. Here a few pics of the car when I picked it up back in Jan 08. Mind you these pics are before I got my mitts into it. So, now its a lot cleaner. I bought her with 914 miles on her. She now has 1665. I will get some new pics in the summer when the rain stops and I am back from deployment.

Full Bassani SS Exhaust, Tri-ax Shifter, MM Sport Shocks/Struts, Full MM Coil Overs (375lbs front, 575lbs rear), MM Caster Camber Plates, MM Full Length Subframe Connectors, True Forged Intercooler Tank, 2.8 Pulley, Autometer Boost, Fuel Press, and Voltmeter, Sparco Demon Seats(have some Mystichrome leather to make them match soon), Sequential Tail lights, with tons more to come as you all know. 464rwhp 466rwtq with a good tune. After the suspension is finished this summer, next major mod - stage 3 cams.

Very nice car! What branch are you in? I am currently in the Marines and stationed in California.

I am in the Navy Submarine Fleet. I have family in every branch though. Big military family here.

Thanks all for the comments. I pretty much used to live in these forums. I hang in a lot of 03/04 forums now, but I miss the fellas here. Like I said before, I have not found a better group of people than right here in the 94/95 Stangnet site.

Congrats. I bought my car around the same time you did IIRC. I recently upgraded to a stroker and putting out similar numbers. I just like the sn95 body style. But I have a few friends with cobras and they are a lot of fun too. Dont go crazy on the cams. Dont know if those 4v's get rough or not.

I think I remember when you were buyin. You have been on here quite a while too. Shockingly, the 03/04 cars take cams quite well. Very streetable with reataining springs and retainers. Here is a good clip of the cams I want, but this car has no cats, and I will keep the Bassani Cats.

2004 Cobra with Stage 3 Cams

I used to be stationed in Everett on the uss fife back in the day. Don't miss the navy much. I was driving a yellow 95 back in those days(01-03). Good looking car you got there!

I always say the Navy is not for everyone. Sea Duty makes it a bit hard, but its nice to come home from deployment and have a bunch of cash saved up. Thanks for the comment

Sweet looking car man. Glad everything is going well for ya.

Jinx, still green I see. Nice to see another familiar here. Hope she is running well for ya still. I thought I saw you were looking to build a crazy motor at some point.

HaHa its runs like ****. I haven't had it on the road in years (probably about 4 or 5). i hope to mess with it this year but we shall see.

I plan on building a 514 for it at some point. For now though it's getting something normal. I still need to pass emissions.

I actually really liked deployment. Being out to see was not too bad on ship. My job was the part I didn't like. GSM. If I would have known how much it sucked, I would have chose a different rate. I would probably still be in now and half way to my retirement!

I Hate emissions. Luckily I don't have to worry about it with my Cobra. I was able to get it registered as a collector. Makes insurance nice too. Full Coverage, No deductible, under $300a year, and its covered for and agreed cash value in the event of it being totaled. I am sure you will get her runnin again at some point. Good luck with the 514, that sounds fun. Another 11 years, and you can register Historical and not worry about emissions at all.

Good to see you Shane!
Loved the old ride and am jealous of the new one!

JT, I knew Id see you here. How are those Tokicos treating you? I loved the old Cobra too, really hard to see her go, but she has a great home now. I was actually looking for a Torch Red 04, but found this one instead. Couldn't pass it up. Its a lot more fun to drive I have to say. Love the IRS. I do miss the 5.0 sound though. I see you have a new e-mail address, is it possible you have High Speed internet now? j/k - Hope the family is doing well, I miss our little (long) chats.

Your like me, deployment is actually what I like too. Not being away from family, but going new places is a lot of fun. I was lucky and had a family member who was in the Navy, so I knew what I wanted to do before I was even enlisted. I am half way to retirement at 30. Looking forward to being retired with a pension. Seems to be rare these days.

"I was able to get it registered as a collector." HOW did you do that?? Can any of us?

Every state has different rules for this. I have mine registered in my Home state of Ohio.

There are stipulations to doing it. Have to have another car titled and registered to you. There have to be less than 5000 made with a certificate stating such, or a certain value of custom modifications with proof and pics. There is a lot more. Still, every state is different. For me it was easy with the Mystichrome.

Insurance is another ball game. I had to get an appraisal, have the car inspected, send a lot of pictures to the insurance company. Pics of the car, the garage, the house and surroundings. It was kind of a pita. Worth it now thats its all said and done though.

Hey Shane! Good to see the family is well and you're safe!

That Cobie is beautiful! I've got a few friends who drive'em and they're nasty from the factory let alone after a few mods...

Congrats on the purchase and hope you stick around man!

Cheers,

The Tokicos are still on there and doing great. :nice:

Re the internet, let's just say that I used to click on your cardomain page, make and eat a sandwich, digest and pass said sandwich, and would still be waiting for the page to load. That's no longer the case. :)

I love your attention to detail. You and Kevin [04 Sleeper] probably get along great. You're the 5.0-to-Termie guys I can think of who really hit the nail on the head with all the details. The mod list on your termie is impressive. :D

I miss chattin with you too man. We lost a lot of cool guys from in here around the time you left, and you were at the top of the list.
