Sampling some brews from The Thirsty Dog Brewery, or as I call it, "The Parched Pooch!"

Old Leghumper! So many legs, so little time!

I gotta say...I'm not big on dark beers, but this Chocolate Bock in the Sam Adams Holiday Sampler ain't half bad.

If you get the chance, look for New Holland Brewing Dragon's Milk. One of my Top Favorites!

So, back to the beers from The Parched Pooch... I opened the first bottle of Hoppus Maximus, and it erupted in foam! About 1/4 of the bottle was lost as it foamed out onto the counter. I tried pouring some into a clean glass, and all I got was a glass-full of foam. Had to dump that one.
When I opened the second bottle, it didn't foam out onto the counter, but when I poured it into the glass, it became 2/3 foam. I was able to let it calm down and eventually drank that one, it seemed to taste okay, too.
Never seen that happen before.

'Had this in Perth a couple weeks ago.

My preference of Western Australian locals is Little Creatures IPA. It's a wonderfully full-flavored libation.

Got a new bourbon, Bib and Tucker. A fairly mild whiskey, not much bite. Kind of non-descript. Not as sweet as some bourbons i've had either. So, a three out of five beer can rating from me.

Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Neat bottle at least. It's not bad at all, just not overly special.

Sounds like a good choice for "mixed company."

I used to drink a lot of bourbon, up until about a year ago. My doctor and liver said to take a step back, so I'm down to a couple of glasses a month. My everyday go-to's are Eagle Rare and Knob Creek. I'm always down for something new though.

Had a Jolly Traveler the other day, it was a pretty good "winter shandy" IMHO. Would drink it again.

Happy New Year! Been a little while for this thread...looks like I get the first post of '18.

Flying Dog's K-9 Winter Warmer. Fairly certain this is a dark beer (haven't poured it into a glass...yet) but it's definitely got the taste of a stout or the like. It says that it's an "ale brewed with cardamom, vanilla bean, and cocoa." It's not bad...I'm not crazy about it personally, but I'll be able to make my way through the 6-pack.

I’ll get some pics up, but until then, I gotta say Goose Island IPA is my go-to.

Two of my usuals:

I had this one this weekend and thought it was pretty good.

These aren't beer but are part of my current rotation. Hopefully they are acceptable to you in the spirit of the thread.

Edit: Fixed the pictures

Yeungling is one good beer. And if I’m not mistaken, it’s the oldest brewery in the country!
