Hey all,

Ive been reading up on some posts on changing your accessory belt.. and I ordered the new belt for my 5.0, and am ready to change it over.

From what I understood from some of the posts, is that the tensioner is reverse threaded and you have to rotate it clockwise to loosen it, i tried doing this with a ratchet and a 19mm socket, and it dont want to budge, i pulled on it real hard and she didnt move. Am i goin about this the wrong way? Should i be pulling on the pulley bolt down to the right to get more leverage? Should I just stick with the regular 19mm bolt on the tensioner and find a way to get more leverage? I dont know whether the spring is just sticky or im just not strong enough haha..

Anyways, heres a picture if that helps at all.. any help would be appreciated.

The bolt that holds the pulley on the tensioner arm is reverse threaded.
The bolt that holds the tensioner arm to the tensioner mount is standard threaded.
