Best cat back for 02 GT AUTO? And HP? gain?

IM getting ready to purchase a new catback, what cat back would you guys recomment for an 02 GT auto. And how many horse power will I gain. How about if i also change my catalytic converters? How much power will i gain then, total?

I love my BBK X pipe...its is really free flowing, sounds great, the o/r kind is priced very well too. They claim 15plus hp out of the Xpipe. My friend has SLP loudmouth catback *drool*

if you leave the stock headers w/a hi flo or no cat mid pipe and catback you should see at least 20 rwhp.

magnaflow catback and highflow bassani X sounds real nice.
Dunno about power gains though, although i'm sure there is a little gain.

If you're only going with a catback system, you're not going to see a whole lot of HP increase - X-pipe and header installs seem to the better upgrades if HP is the main concern, but *any* upgrade on your exhaust is an improvement. But to answer your question, I have an 02 GT auto and I love my Borla "Stinger" catback and Magnaflow catted X-pipe combo. Borla/Stinger, SLP and Magnaflow/MagnaPak seem to be popular choices if you what an aggressive sound and a (slight) HP edge over other systems. Some will suggest Flowmaster and I've heard some pretty good sounding Flowmaster systems, but since HP is a concern for you...other systems might make more. But again, the difference won't really be that much.

I went with the Borla "Stinger" because I wanted a loud "sound" that wasn't like all the other mustangs with Flowmaster or Magnaflow. And Borla is known for their (quality) stainless steel construction. My low quality "stainless steel" factory system looked like pure crap after just a few months, but my Borla has quite a few miles on it and still looks like it just came out of the box. I *heard* that Magnaflow uses a lower quality stainless steel in their catback systems, but I wouldn't know about that - I just know that their catted X-pipe seems to be extremely sweet.
