sure there's is a bunch of "best heads" threads, but this is "best IRON heads" thread for 5.0/5.8 sbf.

did a search for flow #s, found this ( Ford Mustang: Mustang Tech: Engine: Ford Head Information Center ) but doesnt show that many heads though

so in your opinion, whats the best, out of the box, iron heads avalible? street/strip set-up.

I'm pretty sure E7s would be near the bottom of the list, just above a set of E6 heads

I would try RHS heads, they make a iron head that flows good.

thanks for the tip, their 180cc head has very impressive flow numbers, flow at .600 lift is similar to afr, but flow below is way higher, would make for a super torque-y motor I bet.

I was going to say the high ports, but yeah, they are made of unobtanium and still run a LOT of money when you find them.

I have not seen a set of those in YEEEEAARS!!! Dart Jr's flow rather well too and are very affordable if they're still out there.

I remember from my past readings the Dart Jr's had problems with flash castings inhibiting airflow. I am very happy with my TFS iron heads.
