Best fox for 5.0 swap?

thats good to hear. So in theory, all (:rlaugh: ) that I really would need to do to swap a 5.0 in an early 4 banger is:
1. Use some 5.0 motor mounts to get the motor in.
2. figure out how to mount and fit my toploader
3. driveshaft, rear end,ect...
4. figure out how to wire in my MSD ignition while keeping all the other computer/electric aspects working.
5. radiator.

All in a days work!

If you are running a carb there isn't much to it. You dont need the computer or any of the wires. They used toploaders in the 79-82s so thats not a problam. Aluminum driveshaft and any v8 rear from 86 up.

So a manual transmission cross-member from a 79-82 will bolt into an 87 or so and hold my toploader? I'm not very well educated in the changes which went on in the foxes from 79-the last fox.

Is $1,200 for a running 4cylinder auto notch with 120,000 a decent deal? It looks to be very clean and in need of little/no body work. Too bad its not manual.

I dont know about your market. The cars around here are beat and or rusty. I have bought two stangs in the last couple months. I drove to southern Ohio to get both of them. $1200 banger is still a beater around here.
