There should be a flat braded wire bolted to the head and the firewall on the drivers side, by the clutch cable.

could not find that particular ground

there should be a ground strap from the back of the driver side head to the firewall. if you dont have one add it. There should also be an orange wire for the O2 sensor ground by the passenger side head on the firewall coming from the main engine harness. Also check the 2ndary ground behind the battery for the EEC.

Grounds seem fine battery is 12.39 at rest I'm experiencing almost lie a brown out stereo flickers on and off ight go dim randomly

what is the voltage with the headlights and ac on?

Yes and voltage is 14.9
