The gears are fine.
30lbs will be good when you get the intake and heads on.
The slicks will work great.
You can run around 18 degrees base timing b/c the heads are aluminum and not iron. Probably .055 on the plug gap.
6200 unless you have the rev extender. If you've got that, then I'd say 6500.

Don't keep the cobra computer they suck.

Really? There was a 93 Cobra about 2 years ago in 5.0 magazine making 600+ hp on a factory Cobra computer.

They are different from the normal Maf computer. And i believe they are calibrated for 24lb injectors and to match a cobra maf correctly.

I believe they even make conversion kits to retrofit the older computer into the cobra. Computer was part of the reason a gt40/b cam, cobra intake/ 65mm TB cobra car was so damn slow. We all know that's and easy low 13's, and people barely get them in the 13's at all.
