best place to get 315 drag radials

ive got 3 questions for you guys......

1- Whould you recommmend nitto dr's, or BFG dr's (both 315/35/17)
2- Where's the cheapest place to get em, and cheapest shipping.....
3- about how many miles will i get to a set of these tires.....i will be going to the track maybe 6-8 times a year TOPS...probably closer to 5....all the rest is just putting around town to school, and some highway driving.....

thanks guys :D

ive heard that dr's get like 10-12k wear depending if you are doing John Force burnouts or not. As far as brand im a nitto junkie so when i get my 315's they are gonna be nitto's. plus i believe nitto's are quite a bit cheaper. i know jegs has em for like 150 a piece i belive but i dont know if thats the cheapest price or the best place to get em. how bad are dr's in the rain?

My cousin just went through a set of BFG's in 7,000 miles. He went to the track about 5 times and made about 30 passes on them. The rest were street miles.

I hate to say this part, because, without a doubt, Nitto tires are absolute garbage.

Nittos have been known to last 12-15k on them, and have much better wet weather capabilities. For a street driven car, I'd go for these.

The BFG's own Nitto at the track, but for the tradeoff between street and strip, Nitto is the better bet.

i dont really have any experience with nittos, so what makes them garbage tires??

Nittos are not that bad at all in the rain as long as you dont drive like a retard. I got cought in a few rain storms w/ mine. I dont like to drive my car in the rain anyway and even less now that I have the DR's on there but it was really not that bad as long as you dont act like a total douche bag you will be fine. I have about 3,000 miles on my Nittos and 10 passes at the track. They do not look warn at all but I do take it pretty easy on them on the street.

There not. There quite a good tire they just dont hook as well as the BFG's at the track but its a toss up b/c the BFG's dont last as long on the street.

I have the BFG on my stockers right now and they do horrible in the rain. U have very little traction. I refused to drive my car in the rain w/ the drag radials on b/c i dont feel safe. I have been to the track about 4 times with them on and put about 4k miles on them. The tires probably only have about 3 more trips to the track and another 4k miles until they are going to be next to nothin. I heard that the Nittos are supposed to last longer. I dont know why.

diffrent tire compound. Still a sticky tire as far as the track goes compared to street tires but still overall good road manners as far as longevity. The BFG's are just made from a more "softer" tire compound and thats why it gives you the better traction at the track but the softer a tire compound the shorter its lifespan.

I won't even get into the performance disadvantage of the tires....

From a street car perspective - their 555 series tire (not the 555R), is a horrible tire. They lasted about 20k on my buddy's 98 Talon. I have a comparable tire on my car, Michelin Pilot Sports, and I've got about 15k on the tires - they've still got 50% of their tread life left.

EBAY! i got my 295 35 18's on there brand new for $110 each they were BFG's not drag radials though
i bought 4 that size and 2 265/35/18's for the front for $70 each brand new

shipping wasnt bad either

I have nittos and I like them. They don't hook as good as BFG's, but they last longer and are good in the rain as long as they have tread. So far I have over a year on mine and I beat the hell out of them quite a bit. I would guess around 15,000 miles. I am still trying to decide what I want next. I think I am going with some 285 street tires, but I'll miss the way my 315 nitto look.
