Best/Suggested Exterior mods to '67 coupe

The 67s are pure Mustang perfection IMHO, all of the best of the 65/66 with none of the nasty things they did to them in 68 (just my opinion). If you must modify one here's what i did to mine:
67 Shelby shorty hood (I needed the clearance)
67 R-model valence with bumper
Stock 67 blackout panel for rear
Rear GT valence
Delete all chrome mouldings except for windows.
Shaved door handles look good but I didnt do it.

I agree the exhuast just doesn't look good, but what could I do besides getting the GT rear valance? I guess I could cut holes in the current valance for the tips, but what about something that would match the new front?

You could tuck the tailpipes up under the rear valance and use turndowns on the ends. It would similar to the '87-93 GTs.

The only nasty thing they did in 68 was the quarter reflectors.......mine are going away. The plasma cutter has already had its way with them. !!!!

Just enjoy your car the way it is! Maybe find a way to mount just the horse in the grill and maybe take the FORD letters off the hood, but your car looks fine the way it is. Save the money and spend it on performance stuff

Spoiler Mod

I always thought the 67/68 looked a little timid in the front. The shelby r-model front end is cool, but I wanted something a little more custom ,so I built my version by modifying a stock front valence and building an aluminum spoiler to fit. Check out my garage for pics. What do you think?

It looks a LOT like the R-model one that retains the bumper to be, the blade might be a tad smaller...
