you'll love the tires on dry pavement. just take it easy around turns in the rain and you'll be fine.
every one always tells me they look drag radial-ish.

I love the 315 on my 18x10 saleen wheels.
I will never go back to anything smaller

^^ are those NT-01's? Aren't those road racing tires? Not drag radials. First time I've seen them on a mustang.
Anywho, I have 275/285 on my 18x9/10 saleens. The tires are Falken GR-Beta FK452's, which feel amazing in the corners, although I wish the rear tires were at least 295 because the rim sticks out a bit more than the tire. Oh well, bought em used at a great price so can't complain.

I'm not sure what is the difference between some BFG-DR and these road racing... they both have a tradewear of 100 and they stick like crazy

I guess I some how didn't see this thread when I posted a similar one the other day. I too just ordered some hypercoated 9/10 inch Saleen replicas. I got pretty much the same replies, which were 265 up front and 295 in the back. A couple of people in both threads mentioned 255s up front. No one really said much about it, but they didn't bash them either. Is the difference in 255 and 265 up front worth the $35. I'm just using that figure based on the BFG KDWs that I was looking at.
I also looked into the installers section that the Tire Rack had. In my area, DC/Baltimore, they want around $40 per tire to mount and balance 35 series tires. Some were as high as $47. I went to a couple of local shops and they said that was about right if I just brought tires in to their shop.
As a heads up for anyone in the military, I went by the tire shop here on Fort Meade, and they said that they'd put on tires for $21.95 if I brought them in. The only reason I never considered them before was their prices online were a lot higher than Tire Rack. The 295s went from $236 at Tire Rack, to $314 at AAFES. I looked up their price match policy, and they will even meet online advertised prices on tires. The tires are then $10 less per tire to mount when you buy from them. Now I just have to decide in 255 or 265 up front.

Firemanz said:You don't want 10" rims up front. 265/35's and 295/35's is what Roush and Saleen put on their cars when it leaves the factory. That is the optimum set-up IMO, although I am upgrading to some BFG 315/30's for the rear later this year.

thats what I ran on my 99 cobra when I purchased the wheel replica saleens. worked perfectly.
I may go 275/35/18 up front this time actually. 265s are a little shorter than stock and the side wall is pretty short. 275s might be a little better.
I'm torn between BFG drags and BFG KDs at this point. Just how bad are the drags in the wet. I only drive my car on nice days, but theres always a chance I get caught out... I'll probably go with KDWs on the front again, or maybe KDs...

I would think that as long you're not trying to take corners fast or haul ass on the highway you should be okay as long as you're babying it. I only drive my ride on nice days since it's not a DD and I always watch the weather channel before I go out anywhere. Getting the DR's shouldn't be much of a problem if you plan accordingly IMO...007 said:

I got my wheels yesterday, and the tires arrive today. I finally decided on the newer KDW-2 tire in 265 for the front and 295 for the rear. Anyone run into fitment problems on lowered cars? I was concerned with the rear tires and aftermarket exhaust.
