Ok. Let me give you the basics. I have an 06 Auto GT. I bought a C&L and a Brenspeed SCT Tuner. I installed the c&l intake and 87 octane tune because I still had half a tank of 87 in it. When it ran out (the comp said I had like 9 miles to empty) I filled it up with 93 and proceeded to drive to autozone. Once there I bought the best octane booster they had (supposed to raise it one number), poured it in, and drove home to give it time to mix. (I thought maybe that the little 87 left might dilute the 93). When I got home I installed the 93 tune and went riding around. All was AWESOME. A few buddies came over later last night after I'd been driving alot that day and we went and dragged my car against some of theres - a total of maybe 4 runs. All was well, the car was running the best I'd ever seen it, we drove home, everything was good. I get in it this morning and start on my way to work - about 30 minutes after I'd been on the interstate - I went a little over half throttle and it felt like the car was skipping!! Like I had literally just gotten out and pulled 2 or 3 spark plugs out of the thing. Well, I drove it for about 10 more miles to my work and it drove fine so long as I didn't get over half throttle. Anything over and it would start missing, or something! Now - once I got off the interstate and was down to like 40 mph I pushed it over half and it didn't do it. And then I pushed it 3/4 and it didn't do it. I'm confused . What do you guys think it could be?!?!

I would be led to think it was insufficient octane - but I didn't know it could cause the car to act like that. And why wouldn't it do it yesterday? and why did it only seem to do it on the interstate?! HELP!

I did. He feels that it's gas as does Lee at C&L. Based on what Lee and I discussed, and what everyone at another forum said I have a feeling my plugs are fouled too. Let me just tell everyone if you did not know DO NOT USE OCTANE BOOST .. PARTICULARILY 104+ . I'm not the first person that happened to have used that brand and after only one tank had fouled plugs.

Octane booster

As was said allready, never use any kind of additive on your Stang! They madea BIG DEAL out of it when I picked up my car. Real glad you did the tune, your right about maybe needing new plugs, possibly a good cleaning would do the trick.
