I am curious of how big of shot has been run safely on a stock short block... and how long it lasted you I have a very low mile stock shortblock with forged internals, and hoping to push 200-250 shot and have it last atleast a season... for saftey in thinking

wet shot spraying from 3150-5500
wot switch backed by a msd rpm switch
bottle heater
nitrous pressure gauge
autolite 23 plugs @ .032
timing set to 8*
walbro 255 hi pressure hi volume
adjustable fpr
rest of my mods in sig

I've heard its different for everyone some blow at different hp levels. It seems to be once they get to the 500 hp mark they start to brake down. I was also thinking of putting a shot on and wasn't going to go over 150 to be safe good luck.

doubling your current hp w/ nitrous only is a very bad idea.

i wouldn't go more than 150, and w/ what you said you'd get you'd last a while. probrbly no probs, need bigger inj, your stock inj are taxed out at about 300-325 total , 24 lb'ers w/ a 190 would work, get an msd, 150 shot. you will probably not see much diff from 100-150 (maybe 2 tenths) but maybe you will. your heads still need to be able to get all that gas out.....stock exhaust ports aren't gonna cut it. and timing should be cut by 2* for every 50 hp of nitrous.

so more like 6*-8* on 150 shot
